
Bhaderwah, (Jammu Kashmir) December 7: In a powerful demonstration of solidarity, various Hindu organizations gathered today in Bhaderwah to protest the escalating persecution of minority Hindus in Bangladesh. The rally, organized by the Hindu RakshaManch, commenced with a march from Vasuki nag ji temple, Seri Bazar and culminated at the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s office, with approximately 1,000 participants covering a distance of 1,200 meters.
Upon reaching the Seri Bazar, protesters burn tyres and effigy of Bangladesh and passionately voiced their concerns regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Bangladesh. They demanded stringent action against the perpetrators of violence and called for international sanctions against the Bangladeshi government for its failure to protect its minority communities.
Vijay Inder Singh Kotwal, convenor of the Hindu RakshaManch, condemned the recent targeted killings of minorities in Bangladesh. He emphasized that Hindu organizations across India stand united and are prepared to take a firm stance against fundamentalist forces in the region. “If these acts of violence do not cease immediately, those responsible will have to face severe consequences,” he warned, adding that Hindus would not hesitate to march into Bangladesh to protect their fellow brethren. Kotwal highlighted that such heinous acts not only violate the sanctity of life but also threaten the core principles of equality, diversity, and harmony that are vital to any just society.
Other prominent figures spoke at the rally MLA Bhadarwah Daleep Singh,DDC Chairman Dhanter singh,Mahant of Gupt Ganga temple Manisha Anand Giri ji,Arpna Kotwal echoed these sentiments, advocating for justice and human rights. They strongly condemned the recent spate of targeted killings and expressed outrage over the unjust arrest of ISKCON monk Pujya Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das, describing it as both atrocious and illegal.
At the conclusion of the rally, a memorandum was submitted to ADC Mr. Sunil Kumar for forwarding to the President of India. The memorandum outlined several key concerns:
1. Immediate Action Against Atrocities: Urging swift intervention to halt violence against minorities.
2. International Attention: Calling for global awareness and pressure on the Bangladeshi government.
3. Promotion of Tolerance and Understanding: Advocating for initiatives that foster inter-religious dialogue and coexistence.
4. Monitoring and Reporting: Requesting mechanisms for oversight of minority rights in Bangladesh.
5. Release of Pujya Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das: Demanding his immediate release from unjust detention.
6. Right to Representation: Ensuring that Pujya Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das has access to legal representation.
