JAMMU, Aug 7: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dr Sanjeev Sinha and Lt Gen (Retd) Narendra Kotwal as the Executive Directors (EDs) of AIIMS Vijaypur (Samba), Jammu, and AIIMS Bhopal.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Dr Sinha, currently posted as Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at AIIMS New Delhi, has been appointed on a deputation basis for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge, or until he attains the age of 70 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Lt Gen (Retd) Narendra Kotwal, a son of the soil, who is currently posted as Director Endocrinology at Paras Health, Panchkula and formerly Director and Commandant of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, has been made on a contract basis for the same tenure.
