JAMMU, MAR 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has terminated three workers of the Jal Shakti Department after their alleged involvement in anti-national and subversive activities came to light.
According to an order issued by the Jal Shakti Department, “In the interest of administration, Showkat Ahmad Zargar, son of Nazir Ahmad Zargar of Iqbal Mohalla, Bijbehara, District Anantnag, a Daily Rated Wager (DRW) and posted at Bijbehara, Anantnag is disengaged forthwith on account of his involvement in anti-national and subversive activities”.
“As the evident from, the registration of FIR Number 53/2019 under Sections 307 RPC, 7/27 Arms Act and Sections 16 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) pertaining to allegations of involvement in terrorist acts, conspiracy to commit terrorist acts, harbouring terrorists, and membership/support of a terrorist organization”, the order reads.
It further reads that the filing of the chargesheet under Sections 307 RPC, 7/27 Arms Act and section 16, 18 and 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) upon completion of investigation and the case being presently under trial.
Another order issued by the Jal Shakti Department reads, “In the interest of administration, Liyaqat Ali Bhagwan, son of Aziz Mohd Bhagwan of Bhagwan Mohalla, Huller, District Kishtwar, a need based casual labourer and posted at Berwar, Kishtwar is disengaged forthwith on account of his involvement in anti-national and subversive activities”.
“As the evident from, the registration of FIR Number 230/2019 under Sections 13, 18, 19, 38, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) pertaining to allegations of involvement in terrorist acts, conspiracy to commit terrorist acts, harbouring terrorists, and membership/support of a terrorist organization”, the order reads.
The filing of the chargesheet under Sections 13, 18, 19 and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) upon completion of investigation and the case being presently under trial, reads the order.
One more order issued by the Jal Shakti Department reads, “In the interest of administration, Kousar Hussain Bhagwan, son of Mohd Akbar Bhagwan of Hunjala, District Kishtwar, a need based casual labourer and posted at Huller, PHE Sub-Division Kishtwar is disengaged forthwith on account of his involvement in anti-national and subversive activities as evident from, the registration of FIR Number 230/2019 under Sections 13, 18, 19, 38 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) pertaining to allegations of involvement in terrorist acts, conspiracy to commit terrorist acts, harbouring terrorists, and membership/support of a terrorist organization”.
